RSSF is committed to implementing open standards relevant to BGP-4 and RPKI as developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). In the coming 24 months we will focus on the following topics:

  • Multi-core support for Adj-RIB-Out calculations

  • Caching of Adj-RIB-Out table to reduce impact of flapping peers

  • ASPA Verification for BGP UPDATE messages

  • RFC 8654 - Extended Message Support

  • RFC 8950 - Advertising IPv4 NLRI with an IPv6 Next Hop

  • FIB Multipath support

  • BMP (we'd love to hear your user stories!)

  • BGPsec

    • OpenRTR (RTR server in OpenBSD)

    • RPKI CA implementation

  • SNMP (or ... has SNMP been overtaken by our recent OpenMetrics work?)

Your feedback is most welcome! Please contact us to discuss collaboration opportunities.
