Annual report - 2022

SECOND ANNUAL REPORT

Amsterdam, 21 June 2023 - The RSSF board of directors presents its second annual report. The foundation is a caretaker and facilitator of critical open source Internet infrastructure. The foundation was established in coordination with the world's largest Internet Exchanges - AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX, Netnod, and additionally is supported by JPNAP, Sovereign Tech Fund and Internet Society. The Route Server Support Foundation is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce as a non-profit organization and has as goal to further the development of IX Route Server software to improve the quality and safety of the global Internet routing system.

RSSF implements its purpose by hiring talented developers who extend Internet infrastructure projects (such as OpenBGPD, rpki-client, and StayRTR) in order to create much-needed software implementation diversity for the Internet community.

RSSF focuses on integration with industry-standard IX automation stacks to facilitate access for IX operators to a robust set of different BGP-4 Route Server implementations in a safe manner.

This report covers the entire year of 2022. The report lists technical accomplishments and financial results.
